:: The Muktamar ::
This is the second year I attended Muktamar. The first time was last year in St. Louis, Missouri. The distance between Michigan and Missouri is only around 8 hours but the distance from Michigan to Las Vegas, Nevada is one day and seven hours of non stop driving. Sounds crazy, I know. But that what makes this road trip interesting.me b We spent about 3 days and two nights to safely arrive in Vegas. The reason that we are going through this long journey because of Muktamar making it more meaningful. I learnt something from this Muktamar but what more important is how much am I willing to change to be a better Muslim. Attending Muktamar or any other religious event doesn't make you beriman automatically or make you any better at all. Muktamar is just a reminder, it is up to me if I want to continue being ignorant or change myself. I don't know if I'm changing into a better person. Maybe I have. Maybe I haven't at all. I think for the time being, I just need to make an effort little by little until I realize what is important in my life. And going to Muktamar is part of my endeavor to a better Muslim. InsyaAllah.
